If you’ve ever followed sprint car racing, then that sounds like a dream to you. All the while, you’re nursing a right rear tire that’s nearing the danger zone due to numerous run-ins with the wall coming out of turns 2 and 4 at breakneck speeds. You keep getting love taps from Slammin’ Sammy Swindell, and you continually fend off inside pass attempts by Lasoski doing his best impression of a bottom-dwelling catfish. You’re down to your last tearoff, with 8 laps to go. Your knuckles are white from following “The King” Steve Kinser for 22 laps. I could almost promise that once you get into an A Main on Legend difficulty, you may find yourself leaning hard to the left for no reason.You’re tearing around Bristol Motor Speedway at 150 miles an hour. In short, I think it is worth an honest try for anyone who enjoys SIM racing for sport of for fun.
Of course, they also cost the most and it could be a season of two before your car is carrying Tier 3 parts.
Only the highest tier stuff for each level of parts (1-3) has both good perfomance and durability. So far I have managed to damage aero and once began overheating but lifting on corner entry for a few laps will cool it down a bit.Īs for parts, its a choice between durability and performance. Also, holding down the throttle and never lifting WILL overheat your engine. I cant say for sure that the track surface changes throughout the race, it seems to, but it definitely changes with each race for the event. Track degradation or "rubbering up" happens as the practice, qualifier, heats and mains progress. As a Dirt Rally 1 and 2 fan, WRC 7 series fan and so on, I find the dirt track physics to be good. I have not played NASCAR Heat 4 so I cannot compare it but there is a challenging aspect to traction entering and exiting corners. The setups for this game can be tricky but very rewarding at the same time. I enjoy the fact that you can't win without tuning on the Legend difficulty. I have played TQ Midget mostly and am 7 races in to career mode. I have been playing this game recently since the Sprint Car Racing and All American Racing games were released together on one disc.
